INTENT
The intent of this criterion is to reduce the impact of material selection on the environment and encourage the project to optimize construction product consumption efficiency by selecting low GWP (kgCO2eq)
products through LCA of the building.

APPRAISAL
- Demonstrate the kgC02 equivalent reduction in building super-structure and building interiors from the GRIHA basecase.
COMPLIANCE
- The client needs to show calculations showing global warming potential level reduction.
- The client needs to provide photos and purchase orders of materials used in the building.
