LEED Certification for Homes – MR PREREQUISITE: CERTIFIED TROPICAL WOOD

Requirements

HOMES, MIDRISE

All wood in the building must be nontropical, reused or reclaimed, or certified by the Forest Sustainability Council, or USGBC-approved equivalent.

For the purposes of this prerequisite, a tree species is considered tropical if it is grown in a location that lies between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
