Now rebates for Nearly Zero Energy Buildings in State of Jharkhand

Like other States in India Jharkhand is also another State who announced some notifications regarding Energy & Environment sector for one step forward in Energy Consumption & Energy savings in Buildings & in other facilities. As per guideline issued by Urban Development & Housing Dept, Govt of Jharkhand stated that there were already some existing guidelines for Incentives for Green Building certified projects, but that was not cleared. In recent guidelines all detail clarification is mentioned. Before that all buildings must be applicable in Jharkhand Energy Conservation Building Code & diluly verified by JREDA.

Let’s have a look on the incentives offered by Govt Of Jharkhand on this Green Building Certified Projects:

GRIHA 3 Star/IGBC Silver or equivalent rating-3% incentive FAR on basic FAR.
GRIHA 4 Star/IGBC Gold or equivalent rating-5% incentive FAR on basic FAR.
GRIHA 5 Star/IGBC Platinum or equivalent -7% incentive FAR on basic.

Achieving minimum GRIHA 3 Star or IGBC Silver rating for all buildings belonging to Govt, Semi Govt, Local bodies & Public Sectors. Incentive FAR shall be awarded after Certification from Empanelled agency. They announced notification for local authorities to incentivise or provide 1-5% extra ground coverage & FAR for projects of more than 3,000 sq mt plot size on basis of GRIHA evaluation.
