Huge Discounts on Green Buildings from Haryana Govt in Haryana
- Like other States in India Haryana also announced some incentives to promote Green Buildings Sector in their State & to promote Energy Conservation & Energy Savings, basically to create awareness on it. as per amendment in chapter 6 of the Haryana Building Code 2017 The State Govt offers an additional FAR (Floor Area Ratio) of 9%, 12% and 15% for Green Buildings rated as Silver, Gold and Platinum respectively by IGBC. They also did more focus on “Solid Waste Management Plant” & “Roof top Solar Plant” besides this Green Building sectors. The additional FAR as per their notification Stating that this additional FAR shall be given over & above the maximum permissible FAR.
This incentive for achieving GRIHA/IGBC/LEED rating shall be applicable only on new buildings. The incentive of additional FAR would also be applicable on buildings which are under construction and registered with the rating agencies. The FAR would be calculated proportionately discounting the buildings for which Occupation Certificate has been granted. The applicant has to pay only Infrastructure Development Charges on additional FAR granted as incentive.

Also for installing Roof Top Solar Plant Haryana Govt has decided to give additional 3%,6%,9% &12% FAR on basis of upto 25%,upto 50%,upto 75% & upto 100% of RE Power Generation respectively. Here is a table attached regarding incentives from generation based on Roof Top Solar PV.
