TATA POWER : Train 3,000 youths to work in the renewable energy sector

Tata Power gives training to 3,000 youths this fiscal of the renewable industry. The company’s main objective is to provide training to 5,000 youths by 2050 to work in the power sector. Under Tata Skill development Institute, a state-of-the-art-skill enhancement institute in the power sector has trained so far 1.4 Lakh people across its courses, including conventional and renewable energy technology. They are planning to increase their training initiatives to equip youth with skills for green energy job applications.
The training will be offered in solar photovoltaic for electric vehicle charging installation and maintenance of rooftop solar photovoltaic, installation of smart meters, and home automation to promote smart and efficient energy expertise across its training centers, located at Shahad, Trombay, Vidyavihar, Maithon, Mundra and Jojobera.

India is on its way to taking significant steps towards achieving its clean energy goals and creating a 500 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2030. The Indian Power industry is about to undergo green transportation and the company is all set to bring this change with focused training for youth in green and smart energy technologies.
