Performance validation, informed by plant data
Performance-ratio validation for an L&T-engineered plant, with a separate TwinPro forecasting proof of concept.
The challenge
Assessing a tracker-based solar plant requires an understanding of irradiation, energy measurements, tracker operation and grid interruptions. Forecasting introduces a further need to compare model estimates with measured generation.
Firstgreen’s contribution
Firstgreen’s work relates to performance-ratio validation for a 100 MW ACWA Power solar plant in Uzbekistan engineered by L&T. A separate TwinPro forecasting proof of concept explores weather-led generation estimates and comparison with actual plant output.
Our approach
The technical approach considers the available weather and metering records, tracker effects and operating constraints. The forecasting pilot combines a physics-based baseline with historical-data calibration where the data supports it.
Project scope and status
Performance validation is the core advisory scope. Forecasting is a separate proof of concept evaluated against the available plant data.
