After securing the 50 MW solar project bid, Today Energy engaged Firstgreen to transform their winning proposal into a complete construction-ready engineering package for their project in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The harsh desert conditions, including extreme temperatures, sandy terrain, and high wind loads, required a highly specialized approach to design and engineering. Firstgreen’s task was to translate the business case into a technically robust, site-optimized engineering solution capable of long-term reliability.

The engineering scope included a fully detailed PV array layout designed to maximize land use efficiency while ensuring optimal energy generation. Firstgreen delivered comprehensive DC and AC electrical system designs, covering string sizing, inverter configuration, cable routing, and protection schemes. Structural engineering was carried out to ensure that the module mounting system could withstand the unique challenges of the desert environment, including shifting soil and dust accumulation. Firstgreen also designed the 132 kV substation evacuation infrastructure, enabling seamless power export to the grid. The result was a complete IFC-ready engineering package that provided Today Energy with a dependable blueprint for project execution, ensuring technical compliance, safety, and long-term operational performance.
