Compare the PV array’s DC nameplate capacity with the total inverter AC rating. This check reports the loading ratio; it does not estimate annual clipping or energy production.

How to use the result
DC/AC ratio = DC capacity ÷ AC rating. A ratio above 1 means the DC array is larger than the AC inverter rating. Clipping depends on irradiance, temperature, orientation and inverter limits, and requires an hourly simulation. Confirm voltage, current, MPPT and grid requirements against the selected equipment before finalising a design.
