GRIHA VERSION 2019 CRITERIA 9. LOW ODP AND GWP MATERIALS

INTENT

The intent of this criterion is to ensure the use of materials with low GWP and ODP in building insulation, HVAC, refrigeration equipment, and firefighting systems.

APPRAISAL

The project should ensure that the insulation, refrigerants used in the building and cooling systems are CFC and HCFC free. Also the fire suppression and fire fighting systems should be halon free.

For complying with this credit the client needs to provide technical specifications of the insulation, refrigerant and fire suppression system highlighting compliance with the appraisal regarding zero CFC and HFC.
