Varsity sets up solar panel-walled building

Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University has set up a solar panel-walled building on its campus here in Maharashtra. NCP chief Sharad Pawar inaugurated the new facility in the state-run university on Sunday. A university official claimed it is the first solar panel walled building to come up in the country. “Cadmium Telluride photovoltaic cells have been mounted on the glass facade of the structure to generate 14 to 15 units everyday,” the official said. ‘Chilli chacha’ to rebrand MP’s popular spice

Indore: To boost the falling production of the chilli crop in Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh, the state government has unveiled a mascot named “chilli chacha” for better marketing of the popular spice. The move comes against the backdrop of a drop in cultivation of chilli apparently due to lack of interest from farmers in Nimar. A “gene bank” will be created to save the original varieties of chillies in the region. PTI

London: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds have announced that they were engaged and expecting a baby.
