Western Railway bags three awards for energy conservation
MUMBAI: The Western Railway bagged three National Energy Conservation awards for contribution towards providing a clean and green transportation to its commuters.
WR chief spokesperson Ravinder Bhakar said that WR was awarded with the first prize in the ‘Transportation Category’ along with second and third in ‘Institution Category’ for energy conservation measures adopted by divisional railway manager’s offices at Rajkot and Bhavnagar respectively.
Principal chief electrical engineer Sanjiv Bhutani accepted the first prize from power minister RK Singh at National Energy Conservation Awards 2019 in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on Saturday.
