DLF Atria in Gurugram is advancing its commitment to sustainable operations by pursuing the highest certification for zero waste, TRUE Platinum. This initiative, in partnership with sustainability experts Firstgreen Consulting, is focused on achieving Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) by integrating comprehensive zero waste strategies into the existing building’s daily functions.
The project employs a systematic and detailed methodology. It commences with a thorough waste stream analysis to identify all opportunities for reduction, reuse, and recycling. Building on these findings, new zero waste policies will be created and implemented, covering critical areas like procurement, materials management, and staff training to ensure widespread adoption of sustainable practices.
Firstgreen Consulting is managing the entire certification journey, including the meticulous documentation, performance metric tracking, and final submission to the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). This project solidifies DLF Atria’s position as a leader in environmental stewardship and responsible building management.
