DLF Cyber Park in Gurugram is taking a significant step towards environmental leadership by pursuing the highest level of zero waste certification, TRUE Platinum. This ambitious project aims to transform the existing IT park by implementing comprehensive zero waste strategies to achieve Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE).
In collaboration with sustainability consultants Firstgreen Consulting, the initiative will undertake a rigorous, data-driven process. The first phase involves a thorough waste stream analysis of the entire park to identify all opportunities for reduction, reuse, and recycling. Following this, robust zero waste policies will be developed and implemented, covering procurement, materials management, and staff training to embed sustainable practices into the park’s core operations.
Firstgreen Consulting is managing the complete certification facilitation, which includes overseeing all documentation, tracking performance metrics, and submitting the project for review to the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). This endeavor positions DLF Cyber Park as a benchmark for sustainable operations within the IT sector.
