Big Basket partners with Amplus for Green Energy across its outlets in India

Amplus Energy Solutions, Asia’s leading distributed and rooftop solar company, has partnered with Big Basket, India’s top online grocery retailer for clean and green energy. Under this agreement, Amplus will provide over 1.4MWp of solar power to 12Big Basket facilities spread across 4 states, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Big Basket has been constantly striving to invest for its green initiatives as they look to power their growth by adopting environmentally conscious methods including switching to solar power for their energy needs.

Through this initiative, Big Basket will be able to generate 310,64,120 units of green electricity which will help reduce its CO2 emissions by 29,440 Metric Tonnes for a tenure of 20 years.

For us, adopting solar power was always a natural choice for not to just reduce our energy costs but also to ensure our carbon footprint is offset by this initiative, we will continue to follow green ways to grow our business,” said Ramesh V.S, Co-Founder, Big Basket.
