DLF IT Park in Chandigarh is strengthening its sustainable operations agenda by targeting TRUE Platinum, the highest level of zero-waste certification. Through this initiative, DLF aims to optimize Total Resource Use and Efficiency (TRUE) by embedding rigorous zero-waste strategies throughout the IT and office complex.
Working with sustainability advisors Firstgreen Consulting Pvt. Ltd., the project will adopt a structured, data-driven approach. The engagement begins with a comprehensive waste stream assessment to identify all viable opportunities for reduction, reuse, and recycling. These insights will inform the development and rollout of robust zero-waste policies covering procurement practices, materials management, and staff training to ensure long-term success.
Firstgreen Consulting will oversee the full TRUE certification facilitation, including preparation and management of documentation, monitoring of zero-waste performance metrics, and coordination of the final review submission to Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). With an anticipated implementation period of approximately 15 months from the work order commencement, this effort highlights DLF IT Park’s commitment to environmental leadership and operational excellence.
