EMAAR Capital Tower 1 in Gurugram, Haryana, is undertaking a major initiative to establish itself as a definitive benchmark for sustainable commercial buildings by pursuing the top-tier LEED v4.1 O+M Platinum certification. This project, led by EMAAR India Ltd., aims to significantly reduce operational expenditures, enhance EMAAR’s brand reputation as a sustainable developer, and attract premium corporate tenants with stringent ESG requirements.
The project period is set for 2024–25, with First Green Consulting Private Limited serving as the vendor. The scope of services includes full-scope LEED consultancy encompassing the entire certification lifecycle. This begins with a detailed baseline performance assessment, including energy modeling and water-use analysis. Based on this, the consultant will develop tailored sustainability strategies and a clear roadmap for achieving Platinum status. Services also include hands-on management of the entire certification process, from documenting sustainable procurement policies to overseeing the final USGBC submission. This initiative underscores EMAAR Capital Tower 1’s commitment to leading the way in environmental stewardship and operational efficiency in the region.
