INTENT
The intent of this criterion is to ensure that occupants of the building are thermally and acoustically comfortable, which would subsequently benefit their health and well-being, and ascertain improved performance.
Maximum Points: 5
APPRAISAL
- Demonstrate that all the habitable spaces meet the thermal comfort requirements as per NBC 2016.,ASHRAE 55, or Indian Adaptive Comfort Model.
- Mitigate sound levels by adopting different strategies as per NBC 2016.
COMPLIANCE
- The client needs to submit simulations reports to highlight that thermal comfort is met for habitable spaces.
- The client needs to submit noise indoor and outdoor test reports by third party to demonstrate that sound levels are within acceptable limits as per NBC 2016.
