Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has taken a significant stride toward environmental leadership with its upcoming Panipat facility aiming for the IGBC Green New Building Platinum Certification. As one of India’s most influential public sector organizations, IOCL continues to demonstrate how sustainability can be deeply embedded into core infrastructure development.

The project, executed under the expert guidance of Firstgreen Consultants Pvt. Ltd., focuses on establishing the Panipat building as a model for green corporate infrastructure. The initiative aligns with IOCL’s broader commitment to reducing its environmental footprint, conserving natural resources, and creating healthier workspaces.

The consultancy scope includes comprehensive performance assessments across energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management. A meticulous credit-by-credit roadmap is being implemented to achieve Platinum status—IGBC’s highest rating. The approach ensures seamless documentation, compliance, and verification with the Indian Green Building Council.

Once completed, the IOCL Panipat office will not only reduce operational costs and resource consumption but also stand as a national benchmark for sustainable corporate design.
