Upkar Singh Sandhu, chairman, PEDA, said the state would produce 500 MW of power through solar projects by the end of the year.

Fatehgarh Sahib: Upkar Singh Sandhu, chairman, PEDA, said the state would produce 500 MW of power through solar projects by the end of the year. He introduced a scheme wherein any farmer owning 5 acres could install a 1 MW solar power plant and get subsidy from the government. He said under the scheme, the PSPCL would purchase electricity from the plant for 25 years.
