AMBALA: The Corps Commander of 2 Corps, Lt Gen Alok Kler, inaugurated the Army’s 1 MW solar power plant under the aegis of Headquarters 2 Corps near Top Khana Bazaar in Ambala Cantonment on Monday.
The plant was planned under the “go green” initiative of the Indian Army.
Garrison Engineer, Major Arun Kumar Umar, who supervised the project, said the facility was spread over five acres and consisted of 3,120 solar panels.
