Industrial operations demand absolute reliability, especially in zones hosting global manufacturing units. In the Japanese Investment Zone at Neemrana, Rajasthan, power fluctuations can disrupt sensitive industrial processes, affect production schedules, and lead to costly downtime. To address these challenges, NICDC collaborated with Firstgreen Consulting to deploy a robust 1 MW hybrid microgrid that seamlessly integrates solar power with a 500 kW diesel generator backup system.

The hybrid microgrid was engineered to deliver uninterrupted, high-quality power, ensuring that industrial tenants receive stable energy regardless of grid inconsistencies. Firstgreen’s scope covered the entire EPC framework—detailed engineering, equipment procurement, installation, and advanced synchronization of solar output with multiple DG sets.

The project stands as a proof of concept for future industrial microgrids across India. It demonstrates the viability of hybrid systems in improving energy resilience while inching industrial ecosystems toward sustainability. By leveraging both renewable and conventional backup power, the NICDC microgrid optimizes energy efficiency, reduces carbon emissions, and strengthens operational continuity for industries that cannot afford downtime.

This successful deployment sets a benchmark for industrial zones looking to enhance productivity and reliability through intelligent hybrid energy solutions.
