Talk on solar cell technology

CHANDIGARH: As a part of diamond jubilee celebrations of Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), a talk on ‘Understanding 2D-3D interfaces for solar cell and thermo-electric applications’ was delivered by Prof BR Mehta from the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, here today.

He said in case of solar cells the interface of the junctions in the solar cell to the leads outside was very important in determining the performance of the solar cell and with a special design this interface could be made to contribute to the electricity generation and increased the efficiency of the solar cell.
