For Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sectors, energy is a major operational cost. Solar PV offers a way to fix this cost for 25 years. C&I systems typically range from 10 kW to 5 MW.

These installations differ from residential ones in scale and purpose. A 500 kW warehouse plant, for example, supports heavy loads like motors, HVAC systems, and servers. Since industries operate largely during the day, they have high “self-consumption,” utilizing solar power directly as it is generated, minimizing reliance on the grid.

Innovative deployments in the C&I space include:
• Solar Carports: Utilizing parking lots to generate power while shading vehicles.
• Captive Plants: Large factories (textiles, cement, steel) often install Multi-MW ground-mount plants on adjacent land to offset their massive energy footprint.

For C&I clients, reliability is paramount. A drop in power can stop a production line. Therefore, these systems require robust protection coordination, high-quality inverters, and continuous performance monitoring.
